I hold a Master’s in Women and Development from Ewha wamans Univeristy (South Korea/Seoul) and a Ph.D. in Peace and Development Studies from the University of Gothenburg.
I am Lectuer in Development Studies Department and Center for Gender Studies at UR, and Vice President of Graduate Women International (Rwanda Chapter).
My research interests are in Masculinity Studies, Gendered Conflicts and Identities, Peace and Development Studies, Gender and Health, Women and Human rights, and Gender and Lived experiences.
My current research projects include:
- Evaluating the Psychological and Social Impact by Promoting Positive Masculinity in affected/post-conflict contexts,
- Understanding Conflict-Related Sexual Violence
- Understanding Spousal Negotiation Process when Gender Power Relations are Challenged
